CW Earth publishes for public use. Its editorial and data standard is intended to preserve accuracy, restraint, transparency and practical value across every format.
Publication requirements
- A clear title and plain-language summary.
- An identifiable source trail for substantive factual claims.
- Dates, units and geographic coverage for quantitative information.
- A distinction between fact, allegation, estimate, analysis and legal finding.
- A statement of material limitations or uncertainty.
- A review date and a route for correction.
Language and fairness
Writing should be precise, proportionate and understandable. CW Earth avoids sensational language, unsupported certainty and personal attribution beyond what the record fairly supports. Relevant official responses and material contrary evidence should be included when available.
Data handling
Data is preserved with source identifiers, retrieval dates and transformation notes. Calculations should be reproducible. Missing values are not silently replaced. Where a previously verified value is displayed because a source is temporarily unavailable, that status is stated.
Review levels
Records may be labelled as record verified, analysis reviewed, scientific review or developing record. These labels describe the review completed; they do not imply endorsement by the source institution.
Conflicts and independence
Editorial conclusions are not determined by donors, partners, data providers, subjects of coverage or political interests. Relevant conflicts of interest should be disclosed and managed before publication.
