CW Earth uses named public sources whose origin, coverage and methodology can be examined. A source is not treated as authoritative merely because it is large or familiar; suitability depends on the question being answered.
Current national-overview sources
NASA POWER
NASA POWER provides analysis-ready meteorological and solar data derived from NASA Earth-observation and modelling systems. CW Earth uses recent daily values at a clearly identified reference point in central Bangladesh. These point observations are not presented as national spatial averages.
World Bank Indicators
The World Bank Indicators service provides country-level series compiled from recognised international and national statistical systems. CW Earth uses the latest available Bangladesh value for selected environmental, land, water, health, energy, sanitation and urban indicators. The observation year shown with each value is part of the evidence.
Source labels
Each metric should state whether it is a national indicator or a reference-point observation, its period, unit and source. Source names are displayed as identification, not as promotional links or endorsements.
Update and continuity
Source data is checked at controlled intervals through the providers’ published services. If a provider is temporarily unavailable, the most recent previously verified value may remain visible with a clear status. CW Earth does not invent replacement values or conceal missing coverage.
